Military Support Outreach
REMINDER: Monthly packing Thursday, March 4, from
3-5:30 PM
URGENT NEEDS:
We have received many requests for needs this month. Following is a list of
what is needed. If you can help in anyway, please let me know ASAP.
Single Veteran (Toledo) with two boys (8 and 10) has just moved into an
apartment after a year of being in the shelter. We are furnishing the apartment.
At present we need a couch and chair. Also they are in need of a large food
basket. He is only allotted about $34.00 a week for food expenses. The boys
are in need of clothes, toys , back packs and other school related items.
Single Veteran (Pemberton) with one daughter (3). Has been unemployed since
October. He needs help with car repair. He needs to replace the timing and
serpentine belts. It looks like he may be called back to work after a long time of
being laid off, however, he needs help now to be able to have dependable
transportation and some funds for gasoline.
Marine Mom (Toledo) needs a belt tensioner for a 97 Buick LaSabre so she has
transportation to work.
Marine Mom (Waterville) needs auto repair. Car won't start, so I need someone
to look at the auto and see what needs to be done.
Senior Veteran on 100% disability needs some help at the house with plumbing,
some electrical and minor repairs.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
H & R BLOCK IS DONATING TO HEROES IN ACTION THIS YEAR FOR ANYONE
HAVING THEIR TAXES DONE AT H & R BLOCK THIS YEAR.
USO IS HOSTING A GOLF OUTTING. SEE FLYER. They will need volunteers to
help with the function as well. Call Lori - numbers on the flyer.
MILITARY MUD HEN NIGHT, THURSDAY, JUNE 3, 7:00 PM GAME.
DETAILS WILL FOLLOW.
POSTAGE IS NOW $10.70 OR $12.50 PER BOX FOR SHIPPING. SNACK AND
