The American Legion Riders
of Lynn C. Weeman Post 514,
Ida, MI
Group History:

The American Legion Riders Group was founded in Garden City, Michigan in
1993, within American Legion Post # 396. Post # 396 continues to be the
National Headquarters for the group today. This group is made up from
members of the American Legion Post, (Post Auxiliary or S.A.L) who ride
motorcycles.

The intent of the group, is to promote the aims and purposes of the American
Legion. Each group is sponsored by a local American Legion Post, and works
in conjunction with that Post to provide service to the community, state and
nation.

There are now several groups formed throughout the country. These groups
of American Legion Riders are involved with many charities and Veterans
issues. They also participate in ceremonies and parades that are in keeping
with promoting a positive image for the American Legion.
